Advanced Graphic Design is constructed for those looking to take the next step in design using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and other useful online design tools. Kevin Ripka will lead you through hands-on experiences with professional technology and design theory. You’ll create a visually compelling layout and gain skills to apply to your high school publications. You’ll study modern design, font, color theory, and design software and learn how to develop stunning, relevant, contemporary designs. We’ll visit a real design department to see professionals in action. See examples, below, of work created by graduates of last year’s Advanced Graphic Design Workshop.

Kevin Ripka is a professor in the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He teaches visual design, multimedia storytelling, and other design-oriented classes.
